Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How loose is a loose fitting bearing?
A: A bearing journal that is five thousandths under the bearing size is to loose and can result in oil seal failure.

Q: When you replace the spindle, do you weld a new end on?
A: No. First we cut off the old spindle.  Then we bore a hole into the housing and sleeve a new tube in place.  By sleeving the spindle into the housing, the repaired axle is stronger than the original.

Q: Why did the bearing on my truck fail?
A: The most common causes of bearing failures are: assembling the hub without enough oil, an axle nut that is too thigh or too loose, and using an old worn out bearing.

Q: Do I need to remove the housing?
A: No, leave the housing on the truck.  All our repairs are preformed while the housing is on the vehicle. This saves you both time and money.
